This skirt used to be my mom's- but it used to be super long (below the knee). I found it on her closet las summer and took it to get it hem.. A LOT!

1. Mint jeans (Forever 21, $29:) after checking out everyone's entries wearing pastels, I can't help it... I want some mint jeans in my wardrobe.

2. Horse Shirt (Romwe, $30): this season, animal prints are big.. and I love this horse-print blouse!

3. Band t-shirt (**still looking**): for a pop of rock&roll, I've been looking everywhere for a cool vintage-looking t-shirt with a band on it. 

4. Open back dress (LOVE, $57) : as you might now, I love dresses with open backs... but there's a problem... before being able to wear it I need an open back bra (check out #5)

1. Jeans color menta (Forever 21, $29:) muchas usaron jeans o piezas de este color en el resto de pasteles.. y quiero un par de jeans como este!

2. Camisa de caballitos (Romwe, $30): llevo meses con esta camisa en el carrito de compras, y ya me decidí a pedirla. Los estampados de animales están muy de moda esta temporada, y me encantan los caballitos.

3. Camiseta Rock&Roll(**sigo buscando*): quiero una camiseta gris oscura con una banda de los 80s!

4. Vestido con la espalda al aire (LOVE, $57) : me encantan este tipo de vestidos, y tal vez con los accesorios indicados lo utilice para el civil (mi hermano se casa pronto), pero primero necesito encontrar el #5 de esta lista.

5. Bra sin espalda (Victoria's Secret, $68): para poder usar vestidos con la espalda al aire necesito un sostén/bra de este tipo. ¿Alguna los ha usado? ¿Se aguantan bien)

6. Blusa de corazoncitos (Beginning Boutique, $50):  me parece tiernísima!

7. Falda lila (Beginning Boutique, $55): aunque le he sacado mucho provecho a mis falditas blanca y negra, quiero agregar un poco de color este verano

Chevy Oscar Party

For the day of the Oscars I got this fun invitation thanks to Chevy to spend the day of pampering and fashion with other Miami Fashion bloggers. At the beginning I had no idea what to wear because they said "comfy and cute"- so what's comfier than a maxi skirt and a tank top!? The day started at the Chevrolet dealership where we all got together and the had cars ready for each of us (and the drivers where dressed in bow ties and everything, as you can see below). After that, they took us to a hair salon called "Blo"- they specialized in blow-drying and dry hair styling. I got fun braided fun and lavender nail polish (I posted pics on Instagram...@nanysklozet). They also treated us with pink champagne and delicious cupcakes/candies. After that, our next stop was to watch the Oscar's red carpet- Chevy decorated the place super cute, it had even a small red carpet and movie decorations. It was a great experience, and I love meeting with Miami blogger. I added a lot of pics below, hope you like them! XOXO

Para el día de los Oscars recibí una invitación cheverísima de parte de Chevrolet- en la mañana no tenía idea que ponerme, pero que más cómodo que una falda larga + camiseta + plataformas. El día empezó en la concesión de Chevrolet donde nos encontramos un grupo de bloggers y tenían carros listos para cada una (y cada carro con su chofer vestido con su corbatita y todo, como van a poder ver abajo).  De ahí nos llevaron a un salón de belleza llamado "Blo"- ya que solo se especializan en secado de cabello y peinados (es decir no cortan ni pintan). Ahí nos consintieron peinandonos, y pintandonos las uñas (puse unas fotitos en Instagram- @nanysklozet); también había champagna rosada, cupcakes, gomitas, y más dulces. Después de eso seguimos nuestro recorrido, la siguiente parada era ver la alfombra roja. Y Chevy decoró el lugar lindísimo todo como si estuviéramos en la alfombra roja y con muchísima comida. Fue una experiencia increíble y lo mejor siempre es poder compartir con otras bloggers! Abajo puse bastantes fotitos del evento, espero que les gusten! Un abrazo grandísimo!

Wearing PASTEL COLORS!

Finally.....my challenge outfit is up! I had a small technical difficulty with my camera so I asked Flor to delay her post for a couple of hours. As you can see, the regular high Miami temperatures seem to be back- checking out my latest posts, it's all short skirts and dresses. I wanted to wear this cute pleated skirt for the challenge- I've had it for a while but it has a weird black elastic band that didn't go with anything I wanted to wear. So I decided to hide the the elastic thing- which made the skirt SUPER short, and I had to improvise with mini shorts to avoid any type of accidents! I wore it with this gorgeous netted top (which is cropped and I can only wear with high waisted bottoms...I want a high waisted trouser just to wear it with it!!) Finally I added a metallic belt my mom gave me on Christmas, my floral pumps, and random gold accessories. I hope you liked the outfit and don't forget to add your link if you wore pastels recently! Finalmente las fotos del reto están aquí,  tuve un problema técnico con la cámara (y tuve que pedirle a Flor que atrasáramos el reto unas hojitas)... pero aquí está! Como que ya llegó  a Miami otra vez , y como pueden ver en los últimos posts, todo ha sido faldas y vestiditos. Decidí usar esta falda color rosa pastel que no había usado porque tiene como un elástico negro que no me convence (especialmente porque siempre quería usarla con colores crema)- entonces quise esconderla doblándola (lo que hizo que la falda quedara mucho más corta de lo que pensaba y tuve que improvisar con un short cortito debajo... "es mejor prevenir que lamentar"). Lo combiné con esta camisa que me FASCINA- quiero un pantalón a la cintura para poder usarla porque es cortita- agregué  un cinturón delgado que me regaló mi mama de Navidad, mis mary-janes de florecitas, y uno que otro accesorio dorado sencillo. Day to night!

I'm sure you remember the look on the right, I just wore it last week to have dinner with my parents while they were in Miami (check it out HERE: "Wear it backwards")... but what you didn't know is that the look was a little different a couple of hours earlier (more casual and more comfortable). I just switched the white shorts for a tight skirt and the wedges for umps. At first I didn't want to publish the 1st look because they look so similar- and the one with the detail in the front is much cuter! However, I thought it was a cool idea to show you that you don't need to completely change to go out at night.. just switch a couple of pieces! I hope you liked it! XOXO

Estoy segura que reconoces el look de la derecha (ya que lo vieron AQUI: "Wear it backwards")- y como les dije, era el outfit perfecto para ir a salir con mi familia a comer. Pero hubo un look un poquito diferente unas horas antes; más casual, más cómodo y con la camisa como va originalmente (con el detalle en la espalda). Como pueden ver el outfit es básicamente el mismo, solo que tiene unas plataformas en vez de tacones y unos shorts. También pudiera haber una tercera variación, con unos jeans blancos y unos flats. Originalmente no lo iba a publicar porque se parecían mucho pero me parece que es una idea chevere, no tener que cambiarnos totalmente en la noche- en vez, cambiemos una que otra pieza para adaptarlo a la ocasión. ¿Qué opinas?  Un abrazo!

Royal blue obsession!

Lately I have been obsessed with royal blue- as soon as  I saw this shirt, I loved it (not only because of the color, you know I love cute details on the collar too). WHen I was linking the shirt, I realized the model wore it with a striped skirt too ( I completely forgot, I'm sure it stayed on my subconscious or something). My boyfriend's family is in town visiting and we went out to have dinner with them at a Mexican restaurant. Reason why I wanted to look casual but still cute and put-together. No se porque últimamente me atraen mucho las piezas azul rey- y apenas vi esta camisa me encanto (no solo por el color sino también el detalle que tiene en el cuello <3 ). Me acabo de dar cuenta que la modelo en la página de la camisa también estaba usando una falda de rayas- pero de verdad que se me había olvidado completamente (tal vez se quedó en mi inconsciente!). La familia de mi novio está de visita en Miami, y fuimos a comer- quería usar algo casual y cómodo pero que se viera arregladito al mismo tiempo. Fuimos a un restaurante de comida mexicana riquísima. ¿Cómo están pasando el fin de semana? Un abrazo inmenso!!!

Celebrity inspired: Kristin Cavallari

I feel like I haven't done a "Celebrity inspired- look for less" in a while- this time I chose Kristin Cavallari wearing a pleated leather skirt. I looked for this type of skirt for so long, I know H&M has one but the closest store is almost two hours away. So finally found one at a reasonable price at Storets, the shipping was free and I swear it arrived in just one day (considering it came from the UK). My complete look, head-to-toes costs under $150- details below- while just Kristin's skirt is over $400 (and that's not even looking at her $3,500 Chanel bag). Siento que tenía tiempo sin hacer un look por menos- en este caso escogí a Kristin Cavallari usando una falda de cuero con pliegues. Tenía meses buscando una falda como esta, se que H&M tiene una pero en Miami no hay esa tienda- pero la vi en una página de internet llamada Storets a un precio razonable... y no lo podía creer, llegó en 2 días (considerando que venía de Inglaterra!). Mi look completo, de pies a cabeza, cuesta menos de $150- mientras solo la falda de Kristin, de Alice+Olivia, cuesta $400 (y eso sin contar su Chanel de $3,500). Tengo muchísimas ideas para esta falda, creo que no me la voy a quitar por un buen tiempo. Espero que les haya gustado el outfit; FELIZ VIERNES y FELIZ FIN DE SEMANA! Un abrazo!

REMIX: Black sheer blouse

When I do a "remix", I like having at least 5 completely different looks- I feel like I challenge myself more if I have 5 looks in mind instead of three (like most of sites do). This week I realized that I have a lot of remixes with 3-4 looks (from green jeans and metallic jeans, to a leather, a floral, and a yellow skirt).  I'm going to wear this pieces soon so I don't feel like the "remix" is incomplete. This time I chose a black sheer blouse- I've worn it with a strapless stop underneath in look #1, with a detachable collar (look #2), button up with a necklace (look #3) and open as a cardigan (look #4)... and I'm SURE you will see this shirt a lot more here!

A mi me gusta hacer remixes con al menos 5 looks totalmente diferentes- así me reto más a mi misma. Pero esta semana me di cuenta que tengo muchísimos remixes de 3-4 looks (jeans verdes, jeans metálicos, falda amarilla, camisa beige, falda de cuero, y falda de estampado floral)- voy a intentar usar justamente esas piezas estas semanas para completarlos a 5 y no sentir que el remix esta "incompleto". Hoy les muestro esta camisa ancha negra- un poco transparente. La he usado con una camisa strapless debajo para que la transparencia se vea como un detalle (look 1), con un cuello quita-y-pon (look 2), cerrada hasta el último botón con un collar debajo (look 3) y abierta como si fuera un cardigan (look #4).

Sunset at the beach

This weekend was a long one because yesterday was "President's day"- which meant.. no class; and the best part was that Miami had perfect weather the past couple of days, sunny but not humid! Reason why on Sunday, we headed to the beach for a little bit- we ate there and enjoyed the gorgeous afternoon. We went to Key Biscayne, because they allow dogs there and there were a lot of people swimming in the beach and on little sailboats. About my outfit: I wore an oversize vintage blouse from Furor as a swimsuit coverup (with a big hat and comfy summer sandals). Thank you so much for stopping by! You rock!

Este fin de semana fue fin largo porque el lunes fue "President's day" (el día del presidente); no solo no hubo clases, ni trabajo.. sino que también Miami nos regaló unos días espectaculares, con sol pero frescos. El domingo decidimos pasar un rato por la playa, comimos por la zona y aprovechamos para ver el atardecer en la playa. Fuimos a una a la cual pueden ir los perritos, y había muchísima gente bañandose en la playa, en veleros, o simplemente disfrutando del día. Sobre mi outfit: estoy usando mi blusa vintage de Furor, como me quede bastante larga decidí usarla encima del traje de baño. Tampoco podía faltar un sombrero grande y unas sandalias veraniegas.
