Without a doubt, two of my favorite sources for fashion inspiration are fashion periods of the past and TV movies.
Since I was little, I have always been fascinated by the Ancient Egyptian culture: the clothing, the ahead-of-their time technological advancements, the architecture, the hieroglyphs. It’s all pretty impressive for a culture more than three thousand years old.
And believe me, whenever there is any sort of show on Ancient Egypt on TV, I will watch it from beginning to end! Which is why I’m so excited to watch the new, three-part miniseries, Tut, premiering on Spike on Sunday, July 19. This untold version of the Tutankhamun saga follows the young pharaoh’s rise to power and his struggle to lead Ancient Egypt to glory. I was so inspired by Tut that I decided to wear this flowing, white dress, statement gold accessories (including a dainty gold headpiece, just for fun), and a super-dramatic cat-eye.
Tut airs on Spike on July 19, 20, and 21, at 9 p.m. Check out the amazing trailer here and let me know what you think!
